Straight answer

What this actually costs.

UK prices for AI visibility work run from under a hundred pounds for an audit to a few thousand a month for ongoing work. That range is not haggling. It is two different products sharing one name.

The two products

  • Monitoring. Software asks a set of questions on a schedule and shows you a score or a dashboard. It is largely automated, which is why it can be sold for very little. It is genuinely useful for knowing whether something changed. It does not change anything.
  • Implementation. People work out why you are absent, change your pages and your evidence, and measure again to find out whether it worked. It costs more because it is work, and because the measurement has to be run properly at both ends.

Neither is a scam. Buying the first while expecting the second is the usual disappointment.

What we charge

A pilot is 500 pounds, which covers the baseline measurement of your customers' real questions across three assistants, the diagnosis, and the plan. Ongoing work starts at 700 pounds a month and includes the fixes as well as the measurement. There is no contract and no minimum term. The detail is here.

We are not the cheapest and do not try to be. What the difference buys is the measurement discipline: repeated runs rather than single checks, pinned model versions so a change in the numbers is not a change in the ruler, held-back controls so you can tell your improvement from the whole market moving, and the raw dated answers handed over rather than a score.

Five things any proposal should contain

  • The actual questions to be measured, chosen from how your customers speak, not a keyword list.
  • How many times each will be asked, and across which assistants.
  • The raw answers, dated, handed to you rather than summarised into a score.
  • What will be held back or left unchanged, so improvement can be attributed.
  • A clear statement of what cannot be promised.

What nobody can sell you

A guaranteed recommendation. Placement in an organic AI answer is not for sale, by us or anyone, and a provider implying otherwise is either confused or hoping you are. It is also worth knowing that Google states plainly that no special markup is required for its AI features and that an llms.txt file neither helps nor harms visibility there. Any pitch that leans on a single file or a single tag as the switch is selling a shortcut that the platforms themselves say does not exist.

Common questions

How much does AI visibility work cost in the UK?

Audits range from under a hundred pounds to several thousand. Monthly work runs from around a hundred and fifty pounds to a few thousand. The number tells you less than the product: the cheap end is nearly always software that watches and reports, the higher end should include diagnosis, implementation and re-measurement. Our pilot is 500 pounds and monthly work starts at 700.

Why is there such a wide range?

Because two different things share one name. Monitoring is largely automated, so it can be sold cheaply and at volume. Implementation is people doing work on your site and your evidence, then measuring whether it moved. Comparing their prices is like comparing a thermometer to a plumber.

Is a cheap audit a waste of money?

Not necessarily. A cheap audit that shows you the actual answers, dated, is a reasonable way to find out whether you have a problem at all. It becomes a waste when it hands you a score with no raw evidence, or when nobody does anything about what it found.

What should I expect for the money?

At minimum: the real questions your customers ask, asked repeatedly, the answers themselves rather than a summary, a clear account of why you are absent where you are, the changes made, and a repeat measurement that shows what happened. If a proposal does not contain those five things, ask why.
